The Birthday Party
Today is my birthday. I am having a big party at my house. I invited everyone in my class. I
hope that they all come. My doorbell is ringing. I answer it. Three of my friends are at the door!
The rest of my friends arrive. It is time for the party to begin. First, we play games. We play pin
the tail on the donkey. Jasmine wins. My mom gives her a prize. She is very happy. I am happy
that my friends are having fun. We also play tag and musical chairs. Next, we eat cake. My
favorite kind of cake is chocolate with vanilla icing. My mom made a special cake for me. She
wrote “Happy Birthday" on it in red icing. Mom lights the candles. My friends sing the birthday
song. I make a wish and blow out my candles. Now it is time to open presents. Jack hands me the
first present. I unwrap it and open the box.
