Freestylist Alexander Abramenko was the winner of the election. On February 18, in the ski acrobatics superfinals, Alexander made the jump Back Full-Full-Double Full and scored the highest score - 128.51. Thus, Abramenko became the first Olympic freestyle champion in Ukrainian history. A little later he received the title of Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine, and the winning jump of the Ukrainian was in the top 100 best photos of the year according to the American magazine Time.
On November 16, at the Square of Stars in the capital of Ukraine, Alexander Abramenko opened his name star.
It should be noted that the Abramenko Games in Pyeongchang have already become the fourth career. Prior to the 2018 Olympics, the Ukrainian participated in three Olympics: in Turin in 2006 (24th place), in Vancouver in 2010 (27th place) and at the 2014 Games in Sochi.
