Isabel, an eighteen-year old from Lisbon, Portugal, I in the beautiful city of Oxford next year. She is going to study German asd Russian at the university there and she hopes she will do well. She believes both languages will be interesting, but because a friend of herproblems with her has had German studies over the past few months, she knows it is going to be harder than Russian. Last year, when Isabel was still in secondary school, her teachers all said that she was the most intelligent student in her class. They all wanted her to do the best that she could and were always telling her that she had to write the best in her good final exams and go to a really fantastic university. Although Isabel did not believe that she was any different from the other students in her class - she didn't really feel that she was as bright as her teachers kept saying - she said to them I promise I will get the best grades I can. And she did, and by this time next month, Isabel will be studying at one of the best universities in the world.
