2. The disaster happened when most of the passengers were sleeping

3. We were having supper when somebody knocked at the door very loudly.

4. It was a lovely day. The sun was shining, the birds were singing in the trees and many people were staying outside in the parks and on the river.

5. While we were watching television, somebody stole our car from the garage

6. When I heard the news I decided to call her immediately and offer her my help.

7. While we were working hard she was doing nothing at all.

8. When they arrived we were washing the dishes after dinner.
